ReelSignal Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 11, 2026
ReelSignal is operated by Graham Labs LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company. ReelSignal ("ReelSignal," "we," "us," or "our") provides Instagram Reels analytics at https://reelsignal.vercel.app and, in the future, https://reelsignal.app (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the Service, including when you connect your Instagram account using Meta's official APIs.
By using ReelSignal, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide directly
- Account information. When you sign in with Facebook or Instagram, Meta may provide us with your name, profile picture, and other basic profile details depending on your settings.
- Contact information. If you email us or contact us through a support channel, we collect the information you provide (such as your name, email address, and the content of your message).
1.2 Instagram / Facebook data via official APIs
When you connect your Instagram Business or Creator account and grant permissions, we use Meta's official APIs (such as the Instagram Graph API) to access read-only data to power your analytics. Depending on the permissions you grant, we may collect:
- Account and page identifiers. Instagram user ID, username, profile picture, connected Facebook Page ID, and related IDs needed to request insights.
- Reels and media data. Reels IDs, captions, timestamps, thumbnails or media URLs (where available), and other metadata allowed by the APIs.
- Performance and insights. Metrics such as reach, impressions, plays, likes, comments, saves, shares, and similar engagement statistics provided by Instagram and Facebook.
- Derived metrics. Scores, rankings, and other analytics that we calculate based on the raw metrics (for example, an overall performance score or "quality vs. volume" score).
We do not use your access token to post content, like, comment, or take actions on your behalf on Instagram or Facebook. ReelSignal is currently a read-only analytics tool.
1.3 Usage, log, and technical data
- Usage data. Information about how you use the Service, such as pages viewed, buttons clicked, sync events, and timestamps.
- Log and diagnostic data. Server logs, error reports, and similar information used to keep the Service secure and reliable.
- Technical data. Basic device and connection information such as browser type, operating system, IP address, and referrer URL.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- Fetch and store your Instagram Reels and insights so we can show analytics, scores, and trends in your dashboard.
- Help you understand what works and what doesn't in your content, including comparisons over time.
- Communicate with you about the Service, including onboarding, updates, and support.
- Monitor and improve the performance, reliability, and security of ReelSignal.
- Comply with legal obligations and Meta's platform policies.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your Instagram data to build targeted advertising profiles for third parties.
3. How we share your information
We may share information in the following limited ways:
- Service providers. With trusted third parties who help us operate the Service, such as: hosting and deployment providers (e.g., Vercel), database and storage providers (e.g., Neon Postgres), and tools we use for logging, monitoring, and support. These providers may only use your data on our behalf and under appropriate safeguards.
- Legal and safety. Where required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ReelSignal, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
We do not share your Instagram insights with unrelated third parties for their own independent marketing or advertising purposes.
4. Data storage and retention
We store your Instagram data and analytics in our database (currently Neon Postgres) and related infrastructure. We retain this data for as long as your account is active and as necessary to provide the Service.
If you disconnect ReelSignal from your Instagram or Facebook account, we will stop receiving new data. We may retain historical analytics and derived statistics for a reasonable period, unless you request deletion (see below).
5. Your choices and rights
5.1 Disconnecting Instagram / Facebook
You can revoke ReelSignal's access to your Instagram or Facebook account at any time through your Meta account settings. Once access is revoked, we can no longer fetch new data.
5.2 Access, update, or delete
